A now 6-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped two years ago has been reunited with her father in Atlanta after police found her living with her mother in Mexico.

Majesty Williams was 4-years-old when she was allegedly abducted on 1 April, 2021. The girl's mother, Andrea McCord, now 34, is accused of kidnapping the girl from her father's home in Smyrna, Georgia.

Ms McCord was reportedly visiting Majesty at her father, James Williams’ house in Georgia on the day of the alleged abduction.

Mr Williams told investigators he went to work on his yard while Ms McCord and Majesty spent time together inside. When he returned, he said, the girl and her mother were gone.

Investigators searched for the girl for more than two years, with a break in the case only recently leading them to the location of Ms McCord and her boyfriend, Custodio Guerra. US Marshals not only found they couple, but they also located Majesty.

“Every now and then, we get to replace the word CAPTURED at the end of an investigation with the word RECOVERED. Both words are hard-earned, but RECOVERED holds a special meaning for all of us. We are pleased and proud that we were able to be a part of the team that made this happen,” US Marshals Service Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force Commander Jim Joyner said in a statement.

Both Ms McCord and Mr Guerra were arrested on 15 July. Ms McCord has been charged with interference with child custody and has been extradited to the US.

“The U.S. Marshals will never stop,” US Marshal Thomas Brown said in a statement following their arrests. “This young victim is now back where she belongs, in the arms of her father. The fugitives are where they belong, behind bars, awaiting their day in court.”

Majesty has been reunited with her father in Georgia.

“I am incredibly grateful and overjoyed to be reunited with my daughter,” Mr Williams said after he was reunited with his daughter. “Words cannot express how happy I am to have my daughter back home. Majesty is doing well, and I kindly ask the media for privacy at this time.”
